Frozen cocktails are often super-sweet and filled to the brim with excess sugars. Making your own slushies at home takes a couple of minutes and the best part is, you can sweeten them with fruit instead of sugar making a healthier version that tastes even better!

I like using frozen fruit because that way you don’t need any ice. Combine with your favorite wine and bam! Summertime in a glass.

Get creative with your fruit choices. Instead of peach strawberry you could always try mango raspberry. Frozen grapes and cherries would also work really well for the sangria.

Peach Bellini Slushies

Dairy-free, Gluten-free, Refined Sugar-free, Vegan

Yield: Serves 2

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup white wine (split into 2 half-cups)

  • 1 cup frozen peaches

  • 1 cup frozen strawberries (sliced is best)

Instructions:

  1. Combine 1/2 cup white wine and frozen peaches in blender. Blend until thick and smooth. You may need to add more peaches to thicken or wine to thin out depending on desired consistency. Pour into 2 glasses, leaving room for strawberry layer.

  2. Rinse blender.

  3. Combine 1/2 cup white wine and frozen strawberries in blender. Blend until thick and smooth. You may need to add more strawberries to thicken or wine to thin out depending on desired consistency. Add to 2 glasses, pouring on top of peach layer.

Sangria Slushies

Dairy-free, Gluten-free, Refined Sugar-free, Vegan

Yield: Serves 2

  • 1 cup orange juice

  • ½ cup of red wine

  • 2 cups of frozen mix berries

Instructions:

  1. Add all ingredients to blender. Blend until thick and smooth. You may need to add more wine to thin or out or more berries to thicken depending on desired consistency.

  2. Pour into 2 glasses and serve immediately. Enjoy!
