After the birth of Adeles’ son Angelo in 2012, Adele has made a shocking transformation dropping around 50 pounds. Adele who has been fat shamed in the media before has said, “I’ve always been a size 14-16 and been fine with it. I would only lose weight if it affected my health or sex life, which it doesn’t.” The noticeable 50-pound weight loss was brought on for health reasons and not just the sake of fitting into Hollywood’s body standards.

How Did She Do It?

According to Adele she was able to lose the weight by turning into a vegetarian. She also started jogging every morning with her soon to be husband Simon Konecki. In addition, Adele has cut down on sugar, has only one alcoholic drink a week and does weights at the gym. Adele’s healthy lifestyle change can be seen further as she has quit smoking, has been working out with a personal trainer twice a week and has been doing Pilates. According to Adele, “(she) started cutting out naughty foods, drinking more water and reducing my portion sizes. I started to work out my daily calorie intake and experiment with fat/carb/protein ratios.”

Adele’s Weight Loss Tips

  • Get moving
  • Drink water
  • Consider portion size
  • Cut down (or cut out) naughty foods
  • Substitute white for brown (e.g. bread, rice, flour etc)
  • Pilates
