Some of the health benefits of apple cider vinegar include: inhibiting bacteria growth, lowering blood sugar, fighting type 2 diabetes, an increased feeling of fullness and lower cholesterol in rats. It’s also been used since Hippocrates as a cleaner and disinfectant.

A lot of these stem from the high antioxidants that come from the polyphenols of the apples. It’s also high in acetic acid which helps increase your body’s absorption of important minerals in food and breaks down food easier.

When buying, the uglier the better. That is to say, murkier kinds of vinegar with a cobweb-like substance floating inside are the highest quality. This is only available in the unfiltered and raw versions.

  1. Pour one cup of ACV on baby wipes
  2. Let them soak in the fridge overnight
  3. Rub onto the soles of your feet as often as you need

1. Soothes itchy skin

No need to reach for the calamine lotion and mittens to stop scratching. ACV is a highly effective antiseptic with antifungal properties that works well for keeping you from itching all over.

Add a few drops of raw, unfiltered ACV onto a cotton ball. Dab onto the affected areas of dry or itchy skin. Can also be used for bug bites, poison ivy, and sunburn.

2. Treat dandruff


Those little white flakes are irritating and annoying. The high acidity of the ACV balances out the pH on your scalp, preventing further growth of yeast and bacteria.

Combine ¼ cup apple cider vinegar with ¼ cup water into a spray bottle. After spraying, wrap a towel around your head and let it sit for 15 minutes before rinsing.

3. Naturally remove warts/moles

Warts can appear anywhere and look unsightly. They’re usually caused by tiny cuts in the skin and are the result of an HPV infection.

Mix one cup of ACV with water. Apply onto the skin with a cotton ball. You can also soak in a bowl of diluted ACV. Repeat this for 20 minutes every night until it’s gone.
