There has been a lot of speculation regarding the use of certain products big companies like Monsanto Co. produce. This speculation has lead to extensive research by the World Health Organization (WHO), among many other research organizations.
Their discoveries have linked glyphosate to non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. The popular herbicide can be found in Monsanto’s most popular products. Can you guess what Monsanto has been saying about this? If you guessed they have been denying these allegations then you would have guessed right.
They’re going to have to do better than that
The problem with Monsanto’s response is that they have not done any initial research that can counter the WHO discoveries. All Monsanto was able to say was that these discoveries were a result of “junk science”.

To the people, a response like this might warrant a public uprising. Many other organizations have come to the same conclusion as the WHO. In fact, Monsanto has had their products banned in some countries, and it looks like that list may get much longer.
The studies that have lead to this conclusion were conducted on animals. Although these studies were not conducted on humans, the sufficient evidence the animals provided is still a good indication that herbicides like glyphosate can have potentially deadly consequences.
A tragic example
Here is a shameful example of the dangers of glyphosate, in the 1990’s Sri Lanka experienced an unknown chronic kidney disease that took the lives of 20, 000 people. This was due to the Monsanto pumping glyphosate into the water systems in order to clean mineral deposits.
Since then researchers have realized that glyphosate isn’t dangerous in itself, rather it’s dangerous when combined with heavy metals. This is the reason major organizations like the WHO have pushed to have this cancer causing herbicide banned.
