 1. You can reduce fat in one trouble area

It’s sad but true… you cannot target one area for weight loss. It doesn’t matter how many crunches you do, your muscles will become strong but the fat overtop of your abs will remain, unless you do full body exercise. To lose weight all over your body, including your arms, thighs and mid section, you need to do full body planks, burpees, squats and weight exercises.

 2. Eat egg whites, not egg yolks

If you are eating eggs in moderation, you should never have to remove the yolk. The yolk contains most of the essential nutrients and proteins that make eggs one of the healthiest foods.

 3. Exercise will cancel out bad eating habits

This is one of the most common misconceptions… I went to the gym this morning, so I can have this giant slice of pizza for lunch! In truth, you will never be able to eliminate the damages of an unhealthy diet, no matter how much you work out. 80% of your health, both inside and out is based on your diet.

 4. You can simply tone your muscles


Many people say they don’t want to bulk up, they just want to tone their muscles! This is unfortunately a misleading myth. Your muscles are already toned, the reason you don’t think so is because there is a layer of fat and skin on top of them. Adjust your diet, and do full body workouts and dead weights to build the muscle enough that they appear toned through your fat and skin.

 5. If you’re not hurting, you’re not working hard enough

This is simply the most dangerous misconception about working out. Many people think you have to push yourself to pain in order to make any progress. Remember, pain is your body telling you that it’s injured and that it does not like something you did to it! When you’re too sore to work out for the next couples days, this winds up being counterproductive because you can’t work out consistently!
