As the Summer approaches, my family has been discussing all of the things we’re looking forward to. I’m personally looking forward to soaking up some sun by the beach and going for hikes. But there is one thing I’m not looking forward to this summer: the heat.
This is a bit of a TMI (too much information) moment, but my feet sweat a lot. And I mean a lot. Whether I’m wearing socks and canvas shoes or even just plain flip flops, my feet are continuously sweaty. This makes me the perfect target for fungal infections like athlete’s foot and warts.

Apple Cider Vinegar For Your Feet
Apple cider vinegar has so many uses in your body and in your home. Apple cider vinegar is well-known for possessing a trifecta of antifungal, antibacterial, and antiviral properties. Which is why it features in many treatments for dandruff, body odor, allergies, and candida.
We often overlook problems with our feet since they normally stay out of sight unlike dandruff, but giving your feet a detox every once in awhile is quick and simple. Try these apple cider vinegar foot soaks today.
Tired, Achy Feet
Everyone who’s tried a foot soak knows just how relaxing they can be after a long day spent on your feet. Make a relaxing foot bath by diluting 1 cup of apple cider vinegar, 1 cup of sea salt, and 1 cup of Epsom salt in water as hot as you can tolerate. You can optionally add a ½ cup of dried lavender to this foot soak to level up its soothing power!
Foot Soak For Athlete’s Foot
To treat athlete’s foot with apple cider vinegar, add a 1:1 mixture of warm water and apple cider vinegar to a foot basin. Soak your feet in this detox bath for 10 to 15 minutes every day for up to 10 days and you’re sure to see a difference!
This soak is just the thing for combatting the odor of smelly feet! Start by combining 1 part ACV with 2 parts water in a foot basin. Add a couple drops of thyme essential oil to the water. Thyme is effective at neutralizing body odors and has a fragrant scent of its own. Soak your feet for 15 to 20 minutes and dry thoroughly after use.
If you don’t have thyme oil on hand, you can always use a baking soda foot soak instead. This household staple is well-known for its ability to neutralize smells in your fridge and around your home. For this foot soak, mix 4 cups water, 4 cups apple cider vinegar, and 1 ½ cup of baking soda in your foot basin. Like the thyme solution, simply soak for 15 to 20 minutes and dry well.
Apple cider vinegar’s potent anti-fungal properties are just the thing to treat toenail fungus. Simply soak your toes in 1 part ACV and 2 parts water for 15 minutes daily.
Warts and Calluses
Apple cider vinegar’s acidity has exfoliating properties that make it well suited to lessening the appearance of warts and calluses. To soften calluses, prepare a foot basin of hot water and soak your feet in it for 5 minutes. Then empty the basin and add enough ACV to soak your feet. Keep your feet soaked for 15 minutes and then dry thoroughly.
For an overnight treatment, apply a cotton ball soaked in vinegar to the affected area and use a bandage to keep it in place overnight.
Foot Soak For Dry Feet
For an effective dry feet treatment, soak your foot in apple cider vinegar for 45 minutes. This naturally exfoliates the skin and helps loosen up the dry areas. Scrub the dry areas gently with a pumice stone and moisturize. You’ll have soft and smooth skin in no time!
