In what appears to be yet another example of how the interests of corporate greed will always try to sacrifice your health for the sake of their profits, big food corporations are now trying to hide a deadly ingredient from your eyes.
Their latest gambit? They’re using that age-old marketing strategy of rebranding something known to be terrible to something new with no horrifying past. They’re basically trying to wipe the slate clean for High Fructose Corn Syrups (HFCS).
Unlike your standard story of an anti-hero looking for redemption, HFCS (and the corporations that constantly try to peddle them) deserve the terrible reputation they have.
High fructose corn syrup, commonly used as cheap replacement for processed sugars, is an active ingredient in a lot of food products promoted by large corporations like General Mills.
It was addictively tasty, which worked perfectly for these companies because it helped drive up demand for their artificial goods. The fact that it’s been linked to cause obesity, exacerbate diabetes, and cause multiple chronic metabolic diseases is trivial when it comes to profits.
However, during the last couple of years, people have become increasingly aware of the dangers of HFCS and began avoiding it. This bad press began affecting these corporations’ bottom line.

So what did they do?
Instead of actually using natural products or discovering a healthy alternative for the sake of people’s health, these greedy scoundrels opted to be lazy.
They’re really hoping you fall for their rebranding and continue eating their poison.
Keep an eye out for anything that has Isolated Fructose in its ingredient. It’s just another name for a 90% fructose HFSC.
The current offender: General Mills’ Chex cereal.
Don’t let the name fool you; it’s equally as poisonous.
Since money is the only thing these corporations care about, make sure actively avoid purchasing their products and let your family and friends know what to avoid.
