Your body has interesting ways of showing you something is wrong. In some cases these signs may not allude to the obvious issues your body may be facing. Your body finds interesting ways to tell you that certain things are going wrong in your body.
Here is an example of 9 signs and symptoms that may be a result of something completely opposite of what you thought.
1. Frequent Urges to Steal
Dementia is related to stealing, especially in cases where you are taking things very often. This is an odd symptom to consider when thinking about dementia, however, studies have backed this theory up.
2. Damaged Nails
If you have noticed, or are experiencing, damage to your nails you could be facing certain bodily issues you were not expecting. Typically people don’t pay much attention to the signs your nails are giving you. For example, if you are experiencing little nicks and gouges on your nails you could be having symptoms of psoriasis. Pitted nails affect 80% to 90% of psoriasis patients. You could be experiencing nail problems before you ever see and skin irritation or rashes.
3. Tongue Problems
If you have been experiencing dry white patches forming weird shapes on your tongue, you could be at risk of developing celiac disease. This is an autoimmune disorder that causes your body to attack itself whenever you eat gluten. Other symptoms include diarrhea, fatigue, vomiting and weight loss.
4. Pain In Your Achilles
If you have been experiencing pain in your Achilles then you may be experiencing symptoms of psoriatic arthritis, which is a tendon pain linked to the skin condition. Having swollen fingers and toes could also be a sign of arthritis.
5. Always Being Cold
Feeling frequent chills, even in the warmer months, could be a sign of an underactive thyroid gland. This happens because your body is limiting the energy burning and heat-producing functions. Look out for this if you’re feeling chilly on a hot day.
6. Odd Lumps Under Your Skin
Finding lumps under your skin could actually be a sign of rheumatoid arthritis. The lumps are made up of built up tissue, and can grow to the size of walnuts. This is something many people would not think twice about with regards to arthritis. However, you can experience these close to your joints, especially near your hands and elbows.
7. Uncontrollable Hiccups
If, by chance, you cannot stop hiccupping for 48 hours or longer you could be at risk of lung or esophageal cancer. This is something scary to think about. However, if hiccups ever lasted this long you would definitely have to get yourself checked out.
8. Ice Cravings
This could be a sign that you are anemic because of an iron deficiency. This can also be a result of tongue pain or swelling, which occurs when you are anemic. So if you’re love for ice is getting out of hand you should get some tests done.
9. Frequent Peeing
If you find yourself peeing very often you could have developed type 2-diabetes. When your kidneys smuggle to manage blood sugar they get rid of excess waste through your pee. This could lead to dehydration, which is also a symptom of diabetes.
Next time you’re noticing little irritations around your body be weary of these symptoms. Don’t overlook anything because all these signs hold much more information than you thought.
