2. Dark Chocolate
Mmmm…enough said! Dark chocolate contains both monosaturated fat and saturated fats so moderation is key with this fatty food! You don’t want to get too many saturated fats in your diet because they are not as good for your health! Dark chocolate also has flavonoids which act as antioxidants in your body!
3. Black Olives
The majority of fats in black olives are monosaturated (the good kind!) and they also contain Phytonutrients, which has been linked to cancer prevention.
4. Fatty Fish
Omega-3 fatty acids are excellent for your health and fish like salmon are full of them! People who eat lots of omega-3 fatty acids have lower chances of depression, heart disease and dementia.
High in fiber, omega-3 fatty acids, magnesium and vitamin E, nuts are an excellent addition to a well balanced diet. The best kinds of nuts are almonds, walnuts and macadamia nuts!
Although cheese has a high saturated fat content, it makes up for it in calcium, vitamin B12, selenium, phosphorus, and protein! Again, just make sure you eat cheese in moderation… there’s no need to feel guilty for indulging on this yummy stuff once in a while!
