Ginger Recipes For Cold and Flu Protection
1. Lemon, Ginger and Honey Mixture
What You’ll Need:
– 2 lemons
– 2 pieces of fresh ginger (2 inches thick)
– Raw honey
– Resealable jar
Clean the lemon and ginger, slice the lemon and ginger and place into jar, alternative between lemon and ginger. Pour honey on top of lemon and ginger (use raw, organic honey). Store the mixture in your fridge and take 1 teaspoon in the morning and 1 teaspoon before bed. (mixture will not spoil for a month).
2. Ginger Tea
What You’ll Need:
– Fresh ginger root
– Lemon juice
Clean the ginger, cut into small pieces, crush ginger and let steep in hot water. Add honey and lemon for flavor, and enjoy! Drink this mixture whenever you start to feel like a sore throat may be coming on.
3. Raw Ginger
Raw ginger is excellent for clearing your sinuses! Pickled ginger also works great, and right after eating it, lean over a sink full of steaming water and cover the back of your head with a wet towel so you can inhale the steam.
