Sometimes your body does things to help you recognize that you’re stressed out. Many of these signs are blatantly obvious; it’s just a matter of you paying attention.
9 Ways Your Body Tells You You’re Stressed Out
1. You’re sick often.
When your body is stressed out your immune system suffers. This could leave you susceptible to illnesses, like the common cold.
2. You want to stay in bed forever.
This could be a result of the stress you’re under draining your body of energy. This is a common symptom for people who are experiencing high levels of stress.
3. You’re forgetting trivial things.
Stress can cause your brain to function on a lower level. This means you may forget things, or forget where you put certain things.

4. You have a tendency to jump to conclusions.
This is a very popular symptom. People who are experiencing stress tend to jump to the worst possible conclusion, in turn, they add to their stress. Sometimes you just need to relax and take a deep breath.
5. You head hurts and feels like it may explode.
This is a result of the tension that builds on the back of your neck, resulting from stress. This tension causes blood vessels to swell and press on the brain tissue. This is not a good symptom, and you should without a doubt see a doctor.
6. You have virtually no sex drive.
Not being able to experience or feel the need to sexual contact is another sign something is wrong. Typically people are very liberal and open to human contact. In cases where you’re stressed out, your needs may get neglected.
7. You find it hard sleep.
Not being able to fall asleep, or stay asleep, is a clear indication that you’re experiencing a lot of stress. Your mind and body can’t keep up with whatever is going on in your life. See your doctor for further consultation.
8. You’re way too emotional.
Typically when people are overworked, or stressed out, they let their emotions get the best of them. This is just another way your body tries to cope with stress.
9. Your stomach may experience discomfort.
This could be a result of the stress you are experiencing. This stress causes chemical imbalances throughout your body, some of which may cause problems for your stomach. Once everything is resolved these feelings usually go away very quickly.
What Can You Do About This?
If you’re experiencing a lot of stress the best thing to do is have yourself evaluated by a professional. In the simplest terms possible, this means consult your doctor or a counselor. They are fully capable of making a diagnosis and helping you with any problems you may have.
