Maintaining healthy skin is something almost everyone deals with. For some unique people their skin is seemingly perfect all the time, but for those who fight the same battle I fight it can be tough to maintain healthy looking skin. The key is to identify what type of skin you have. You can do this with a homemade face mask recipe.
Your skin type can be determined with a simple test. In the morning wake up and wipe a piece of tissue or paper on your face. Judging by what you find on the paper or tissue you will know what type of skin you have. Is your skin oily? Is it dry and flaky? Or is it silky smooth and almost perfect, or a combination of them all?
Create your own face masks for yourself, but first determine which ones will be good for your specific skin type.
Your Very Own DIY Face Mask Recipes:
1. Dry Skin
Use a honey and avocado recipe to combat dry skin, along with applying moisturizer daily. Take half an avocado and half a tablespoon of honey and mix it together to produce this face mask.
2. Sensitive Skin
If you have sensitive skin you know that the struggle is real. Usually sensitive skin gets dry and irritated easily. You can notice blemishes usually when your skin reacts to a chemical or your environment. You may also notice breakouts and even experience itchiness.
Grab 2 tablespoons of Aloe Vera, 2 teaspoons of honey and a ¼ cup of oatmeal. Mix these ingredients and apply it to your face. Afterwards rinse your face with warm water.
3. Normal Skin
This is the least problematic of all the skin types. If you have healthy and clean skin you don’t have to worry about little blemishes and oily skin. Use a face mask to keep up your almost perfect skin. Use a half-cup of raw milk and a half mashed avocado and mix them together then apply to your face as nourishment.
4. Combination Skin
Believe it or not you can have a combination of all skin types. For example you could have oily parts and dry parts of the face. The best way to deal with this is to apply a DIY face mask for dry skin and a DIY face mask for oily skin. Wherever you are experiencing oily skin apply the corresponding facial mixture. Don’t forget to apply the corresponding face mask for the dry parts of your skin, apply both masks at the same time.
5. Oily Skin
Oily skin is perhaps the most problematic of all the skin types. It looks greasy and is prone to breakouts. If you have experienced this you understand what I am talking about. This requires a very unique and powerful face mask recipe that removes excess grease on your skin and pores.
Gather a teaspoon of lemon, 2 tablespoons of honey and 1 mashed up banana. Mix this all together and apply it to the oily parts of your face, especially the T-zone. Try to do this in the morning as you wake up or late at night before bed.
Use your very own homemade face mask recipes to ensure that your skin is healthy and beautiful. Don’t let blemishes and breakouts ruin your confidence. I assure you that these masks are very helpful, but for more information on your skin type visit WebMD.
