Today the world seems to be obsessed with natural smoothies, and rightfully so. In fact, I have recently been over indulging in various kinds of beneficial smoothies. Whether it is after a workout or before a long day at work these smoothies will provide you with the necessary nutrients you need.
The ingredients you will need are things that you can find in your kitchen, for most people at least. If you can’t find these items they are readily available at any grocery store or health food store.
Our star players
I wanted to highlight a few of our healthiest ingredients that you will be using to make this smoothie. Let’s start with bananas; they are on of the best fruits you can buy that provide your body with copious amounts of energy. They are not only rich in potassium but also B vitamins that regulate the amount of energy you use.
Bananas are also very useful for keeping your blood sugar levels stable. They also slow down digestion, which in turn keeps you feeling full so you don’t over eat. Not to mention that they are inexpensive and can be found literally everywhere. Bananas have been a popular fruit for centuries, and many people are quite fond of them, including myself.
Next I would like to talk about the pineapples you will be adding to the mix. They are loaded with vitamin C, which is great for repairing skin. Pineapples are also very good for digestion. They also contain a natural enzyme named bromelain that breaks down and absorbs nutrients from the food you eat. Once again pineapples are a very popular fruit, as you must know, and can be found anywhere. Their deliciousness is like no other and they are great for tropical drinks.
Lastly, I would like to highlight chia seeds. These tiny seeds are loaded with Omega 3, protein, antioxidants and dietary fiber. These benefits help you feel full for longer, which guarantees you don’t over eat. They have become very popular recently and have made their way around the health world and back. You can find them in many health food stores across the country, so keep your eyes peeled.
Keep these three ingredients in mind while you mix the rest of the smoothie together. You will not only recognize their distinct taste, but you will also feel the benefits of this tropical green smoothie recipe.
Here’s what else you are going to need
– 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
– 1 frozen banana
– ¼ cup of chopped pineapple
– 1 cup of spinach, to give it that unmistakable green color
– 1 cup of coconut water
– ¼ cup of coconut milk
– 2 teaspoons of Food Matters Superfood
There is only one step you need to take to make sure you create a tasty green smoothie. Gather all of your ingredients and put them in a blender. The next part is really easy; blend all your ingredients until you’re happy with the texture. You now have yourself a tropical green smoothie recipe you can make all the time.
Enjoy this smoothie alone or with friends and family, regardless you will notice the benefits. Enjoy at your own risk! I say that because they are quite addictive, but in a good way.
