Lavender has so many benefits beyond smelling and looking great.
Researchers from Florida have found that lavender can lower your pulse rates and reduce anxiety. The same study put lavender in a hospital and found that its aromatherapy decreased pre-surgery distress and was a better relaxant than a massage.
This could be because lavender oil is known to be an anti-inflammatory, antidepressant, anti-fungal, antiseptic, antibacterial, antimicrobial, and antispasmodic. But wait, there’s more! It’s also a known analgesic, hypotensive, detoxifier, and has sedative qualities.
A Summertime Cure
If you’re feeling a bit of a headache, have anxieties or depression, or maybe just suffering a hangover from that backyard BBQ last night, lavender could be your ultimate cure.
The medicinal properties of lavender have been studied by many professionals and there’s denying this aromatic essential oil can really bring the sun up in your day.
