Tea Tree Oil
Tea tree oil is a powerful anti-inflammatory and antibacterial, so it makes for a great spot treatment on blackheads, whiteheads, and cystic acne. A few drops of 100% pure tea tree oil will reduce redness in the pimple and kill the bacteria causing the pimple the first place. Remember to wash your face before applying!
Seems pretty simple, and it is! When you have one of the painful “blind” pimples that don’t have a head, apply ice as soon as you feel it coming! Ice will reduce inflammation in the area and made it less 3D (if you’ve had one… you know what I’m talking about). Put a clean cloth in between your skin and the ice; 5 minutes on, 10 minutes off, repeat!
3. Apple Cider Vinegar
You know how the world keeps telling you that acne is caused by countless different factors? Well, one of the most common types of acne is caused by an imbalance in your pH levels. ACV balances your pH, eliminated excess yeast that could be causing breakouts! It can be used as a full face toner (diluted in water), or a powerful spot treatment.
4. Lemon Juice
Lemon juice is an antibacterial and it contains ascorbic acid, which works as an excellent before bed. Lemon juice also helps lighten the pigment in your skin and so it’s great as a toner in the recovery process of acne pimples because it makes scars disappear!
Honey is also a natural antiseptic and anti-inflammatory so it’s excellent at fighting inflammation and preventing the spread of acne bacteria. Honey is best as a spot treatment because it is extremely powerful, but also protects your skins natural moisture barrier. You have to have raw, organic honey… none of that grocery store brand!
Not only is garlic an antiseptic and antibacterial when used topically, it’s also a great acne fighter when you ingest it on a regular basis! Use as a spot treatment and rinse off after 30 minutes!
7. Banana Peel
Applying banana peel to your break out has been proven to help reduce acne breakouts and it has been shown to reduce the size of pimples as well. Simply apply the peel for 5-10 minutes and then wash your face!
