Though this makes a perfect breakfast, it doubles as a frosty treat for any time of the day! Since it contains dates and quinoa, it’s really thick and can even be eaten with a spoon. If you’re like me and prefer thicker smoothies, you can chill it for a while before enjoying it – the longer it sits in the fridge, the more thick it will get!

Protein-Packed Almond Smoothie Recipe
- 2 cups homemade almond milk
- 1/4 cup cooked quinoa
- 4 tablespoons hemp seeds
- 4 Medjool dates, pitted
- 1/2 cup blackberries (fresh or frozen!)
- 2 tablespoons cacao powder
Put all ingredients into a high-speed blender, blend until smooth, and pour!
Tip: If you’re left with an extra bit of the mixture, pop it in fridge because it will thicken to a delicious mousse in no time!
