The Metal Monolith Reappears in California
The world was not disappointed when a third monolith appeared on wednesday, December 2. This time at the top of a mountain in California.
The structure is now sitting at the top of Pine Mountain, outside the small town of Atascadero, San Luis Obispo County, in central California. According to reports, it stands about ten feet tall and eighteen inches wide. The metal monolith is made of stainless steel, and weighs approximately two hundred pounds.
The only noticeable difference between this monolith and the original one in Utah is that this one does not appear to be firmly in the ground. Local media reports say that it looks as though you could easily knock it over .
Still No Answers
This is the third metal monolith to appear in the span of twenty days, and still no one seems to know its origins or purpose. While many have speculated that it could be part of some elaborate art installation, no artist has stepped forward to claim responsibility.
For now, the metal monolith remains the great mystery of 2020. This third installation, however, now has all of us on our toes. How long will it stick around? If it disappears, when and where will it appear again?
One thing is for sure, the world will be watching and waiting on the edge of their seats.
