Our bodies are exposed to toxins on a daily basis. The foods we eat, the pharmaceuticals we take, and sometimes even the clothes we wear can all deposit harmful substances into our body that build up over time. This is why it is always important to pay attention to your body when it is signalling to you that it is overloaded with toxins, and to make the necessary changes to cleanse it.

Here Are 4 Warning Signals That Your Body Is Full Of Toxins

Swelling Tonsils

Swollen tonsils are one of the most obvious symptoms of a toxin build up. Tonsils are part of the lymphatic system, a network of organs and vessels that help remove cellular debris, excess fluid and pathogenic agents such as bacteria, viruses and toxins from the body. They basically act as one of the many purification centers of the body.

When the vessels of the tonsils become clogged with bacteria, viruses or toxins, fluid begins to build up in them which causes the swelling that many people are familiar with. This can cause toxins to accumulate further which can result in a variety of problems, including infection, if left untreated.

Having a severe headache could be a signal of a toxic build up in the body. Although headaches can be caused by a variety of factors, including dehydration or genetics, they have also been known to be caused by foreign toxins invading the body. After all, we all know the effects that alcohol, a well-known and commonly used toxin, can have on the severeness of our headaches. Toxic headaches can be caused either by systematic poisoning or certain illnesses such as fevers.

Coated Tongue

Having a coated tongue could be a sign of oral thrush, which is a build up of the fungus Candida albicans on your tongue. It can be identified by a white coating or white lesions that often begin on the center of the tongue.

This toxic fungus can spread throughout the rest of your mouth including on the inside of your cheeks and the back of your throat. In severe cases, it can even spread down to your throat and your esophagus, making swallowing food difficult, or giving you a feeling of it getting stuck in your throat.

Lack of Sleep

Sleep deprivation has been linked to a variety of health problems, and it also turns out that not getting enough sleep can cause a build up of neurotoxins in the brain, according to a recent study. One specific toxin that builds up during periods of little sleep include the protein beta-amyloid. A buildup of this toxin results in an individual getting even less sleep and has also been linked to an increased risk of Alzheimer’s.

“Sleep is helping wash away toxic proteins at night, preventing them from building up and from potentially destroying brain cells.” said Matthew Walker, senior author of the study. “It’s providing a power cleanse for the brain.”
