There are two types of people in this world: those who like pancakes and those who like waffles.
To be honest, the cake vs. pie debate is tough for choosing sides. They are both so delicious in their own way. However, pancakes and waffles are comprised of pretty much the same batter, except on is soft and fried, and the other is crispy and toasted in an iron. In the end, they both get eaten with a sprinkling of blueberries and a hearty pouring of maple syrup.
Still, pancakes and waffles are very different, but similar enough that it is easy for people to decide which they prefer. Personally, I like waffles better. (Don’t tell pancakes I said that; I like them too!)

6 Waffles Recipes From Foods You Already Love
Let’s ditch the toaster waffles for a moment, those sorry excuses of a delicious breakfast for those who have not invested in a legitimate waffle iron. If you don’t have one yet, after you watch the following video you will feel an undeniable urge to run out and purchase one. No one in your family will complain if you do once you get started on these recipes.
Howdini, the maker of expert how-to videos, will answer the question: “Can I waffle it?” Here are seven outrageously random foods that will make your waffle dreams come true (we’ve included recipes with healthier alternatives to the ingredients in the video. We also recommend greasing your waffle iron with a non-vegetable oil like coconut oil, for example).
Healthy Waffle-Iron Recipes
Try this great and easy recipe for cinnamon buns that will be perfect for your waffle iron. Place one roll on each quadrant of the waffle iron and cook for 2-3 minutes (you’ll want to check on them at 2 minutes).
Be sure to use this scrumptious hash browns recipe with healthy ketchup. Arrange your hash browns onto the waffle iron and try not to leave many gaps. Cook for 5-10 minutes, checking on them to make sure they don’t get burnt.
Try the Quesadillas version with these homemade tortillas and organic (or vegan!) cheese instead of processed. We like to spice up our version with extra veggies like red and green peppers and mushrooms. Cook for 3-4 minutes.
This one is totally personalizable! Choose your favorite ingredients (like onion, tomato, vegan cheese, peppers, zucchini) and decide how big you want your omelette to be- we usually go with 3 eggs for a decent-sized breakfast. Pour your eggs and ingredients into the waffle iron and cook for 3-4 minutes.
Combine 1 cup of almond or coconut flour, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda, 1 teaspoon of Himalayan pink salt in a bowl. Then fold in 1 1/4 cup of non-fat yogurt. Pour the batter onto the waffle iron and cook for about 5 minutes (keep a close eye on this one).

I am so excited to try out these recipes, especially the brownie one since I am a die-hard chocoholic and a waffle fan. To put the two together can only result in pure decadence.
Tip: Be sure to grease your waffle iron very well before you start on these exotic waffles. You don’t want any bit of the deliciousness to be left behind.
