Consume Responsibly, and Moderately

Health authorities recommend moderation with Diet Coke consumption, despite its calorie-conscious and sugar-free status. The FDA suggests limiting caffeine intake to 400 milligrams daily and aspartame to 50 milligrams (per kilogram of body weight). Diet Coke has 46 milligrams of caffeine and 200 milligrams of aspartame per can, so most adults (with an average weight of 165lbs / 75kg) would reach the limits after about eight cans. It’s worth noting that studies have already found links between regularly consuming diet soda and an increase in health risks, though correlation does not prove causation. Like many dietary choices, the key is balance – enjoy a Diet Coke occasionally instead of making it a daily choice.
