You’re more likely to develop PAD if you:

  • Smoke (this is the biggest controllable risk factor)
  • Have diabetes
  • Have high blood pressure
  • Have high cholesterol
  • Are over 60
  • Have a family history of PAD or other cardiovascular diseases
  • Are overweight or obese
  • Live a sedentary lifestyle
