Women Share 3 Stories of Complete Strangers Keeping Them Safe

Turn on your radio, television, computer – anything – and you will probably hear something about women’s rights or harassment. Just over a year ago in October of 2017, the #MeToo campaign spread across the internet like wildfire.

Since then, the awareness of the reality of sexual harassment that women face every single day has grown immensely.

It took off largely when actress Alyssa Milano tweeted an image that read: “Suggested by a friend: ‘If all the women who have been sexually harassed or assaulted wrote Me too as a status, we might give people a sense of the magnitude of the problem.”

While the countless stories that women have shared are incredibly inspiring, there are still many women who feel unsafe when they are walking anywhere alone.

And this unfortunate reality is what urged a Facebook user named Alexis Tyler to share three posts about women who were complete strangers helping other women in those times of fear.

Women Looking Out for Women

How many times have people turned a blind eye to wrongful acts? Or assumed the mindset that “someone else will do something about it?” Too many. But, each of these short stories is an example of the bravery of women.

Although the world is in a constant state of change, one thing remains constant: the strong bond between strong women. We hope these stories of bravery encourage you to continue treating everyone with respect. Because a world where humans beings treat each other love and respect is a world worth living in.
